Holidays and Community Trips are always something to look forward to, otherwise you wouldn’t bother booking one would you?

However, there can be a tiny bit of guilt where breaks are concerned, particularly if you happen to have pets. As much as we love our dogs and cats and family pets, taking them with you on holiday is often not a realistic proposition and yet, despite the fact that getting someone in to feed and look after them is often something of a breeze, it is understandable when someone misses their animals whilst holidaying and you may even find yourself wishing that you could take them with you on your next mini-break and as such you are not looking for a pet friendly cottage but a Hotel. Well, though taking your cats on holiday is probably not the best idea going, your dogs are often welcome in certain establishments as protocol has set up a state where Guide Dogs and the likes are required by law be allowed into and to lead the blind through public places and this includes a selection of Windermere hotels such as the Ellerthwaite Lodge on Lake Windermere. Put simply, if we were to mention every single Windermere hotel which allows pets as well as people, we would be here all day and so it makes sense to point out that, should you ask in advance, there are many fine Windermere hotels which cater for pets and all you need to do is call in advance to make sure that your dog will be welcomed and any special arrangements can be made so you can keep your happy whilst on holiday. As such, you too can enjoy a delightful holiday in the Lake District and your stay in one of the many beautiful Lake District Hotels without feeling any guilt, because your pooch can enjoy the break with you!
